Artist Statement
The ephemeral. It is a bridge. It knows no dimension, it is concealed yet does not deceive. As a creative individual, a translator, a filter, an open yet slightly broken vessel, and dare I say an Artist. It is my calling and mission to have one arm stretched out grasping the unattainable notions of what is the perceived reality. Then in turn with my other out stretched hand I hope to bring (sometimes by force, sometimes with permission) some semblance of, or artifact into our collective view, our collective dimension. Our common and tangible sense of what may be just a slightly opaque sliver of what is real, can be and in some portion must be repeatedly tested for its validity and safety.
In addition to the Visual Arts I am also involved in conceiving, recording and releasing Music. The same, when I’m inspired or compelled to do so, I compose Poetry. I don’t see myself being restricted to any one particular medium.
At this point in my life I have come to understand and respect my limitations. My limitations are not in any way restrictive. They are in place to prevent me from taking things to such an extent, or degree that in turn may cause me harm.
As an Artist my life's experience is of constant vigilance and never ending work. If I’m not producing, Im consuming. When Im walking down the street I’m absorbing. Constant observation. Persistent refections and hopefully a form of illumination. When at rest the blueprint of my sleepy thoughts and dreams prepare me for tomorrow or even for the absurdity of the next thousand years. An Artists work is never ending, never truly complete. It resides in forms that our world and the DNA of the universe allows to manifest at any one particular time or place.
